Polis

We are setting up a Polis instance that ruling organizations within ETH (such as VSETH) can use to find consensus among students on multifaceted matters, and implement actions accordingly.

Citing from their website: Polis is a real-time system for gathering, analyzing and understanding what large groups of people think in their own words, enabled by advanced statistics and machine learning.

“Programming for Democracy” course

We are helping to design and establish a new official ETH lecture course, to be held for the first time in HS27. The focus will be on engineering IT infrastructure that explicitly encodes sociopolitical norms and manages institutional power dynamics.
